Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen’s next visit to the Genesee Theatre Saturday, Jan. 22, is going to be a family affair.
The Nielsen Trust — which meshes his legendary guitar skills with the talents of his sons Daxx (who has played drums with Nielsen and his bandmates since 2010) and Miles, along with Miles’ singer-songwriter wife, Kelly — will bring some of the Rockford guitarist’s Cheap Trick favorites to the Waukegan stage for a night that will also include a few choice covers and some of the band’s original songs.
Tickets for The Nielsen Trust are $25-$45 (plus fees) through an online-only presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at ticketmaster.com with the promo code GENESEE.
Sales open to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, through ticketmaster.com, (800) 982-2787 or in person at the Genesee Theatre box office, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
