Visitors check out a 1937 Bugatti 57 Race Car on display Sunday during the 2021 Geneva Concours d’Elegance car show in downtown Geneva.
Car enthusiasts filled the streets and sidewalks of downtown Geneva on Sunday to get a glimpse at some of rare antique vehicles and celebrate milestone years for a trio of historic names in the auto world.
The Geneva Concours d’Elegance drew car owners from across the country to show off their prized automobiles on 3rd Street and compete for one of the events “Benz” Trophies.
“This show is really nice because it’s in a downtown area. It’s very accessible to people.” said Alan Blum of River Forest, who displayed his 1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III.
This year’s show highlighted early cars built in the Chicago area and celebrated the 60th birthday of the Chevrolet Corvair and the 100th birthday of both Duesenberg and Citroen automobile manufacturing companies.
Besides giving everyone a good show, the event also benefited a good cause, with support going to LivingWell Cancer Resource Center.
