It's funny how life works. One day, you think you'll never wear, see, or do something again. The next minute, you're wearing, seeing, or doing that exact thing you swore off. Maybe it's because you realized you really missed it, or maybe it just didn't have a place in your life at that moment when you bid adieu to it, but for whatever reason, sometimes things just come back.
You know how we said we wouldn't wear bras again? Well, that's not so true anymore. In fact, we predict that bras are going to be more popular than ever this season, because just like you and your favorite lipstick, the undergarment is ready to be seen.
Shay Mitchell just offered up a simple lesson on how to style the bra top. She was photographed out and about in a head-to-toe neutral look that consisted of white wide-leg jeans and an oversized cream-colored button-down, both from Frame, and a simple white scoop-neck bralette that takes the whole outfit from 0 to 100 real quick. She accessorized with big sunglasses, a beige Yuzefi Fortune Cookie bag, and brown sandals.
The idea of a bra top might seem scary, but Mitchell proves it really isn't. The key is to go with a sleek (but comfortable) bralette that teeters on being mistaken for a crop top. Then, depending on how much skin you want to show, adjust your top layer accordingly — or skip it altogether. Finally, put on your favorite jeans (low-, mid-, or high-rise), and you're ready to go.
