AdvertisementEmma Brewin's fluffy faux fur hat is so powerful, I truly cannot resist the urge to buy it any longer. The style has been popular since 2018, but it's been unmissable for the past couple of months, spotted on everyone from Rihanna to Miley Cyrus. Emily Ratajkowski is particularly fond of the fluffy muppet hat look, seemingly owning Emma Brewin's iconic Blossom Bucket in nearly every color. I want what she has (many soft and colorful hats).
During a recent blizzard in New York City, Ratajkowski posted a photo on a snowy street wearing the hat that's slowly becoming her signature, along with a bright red puffer coat and a pair of camouflage pants. The look reminded me of something, and after quickly obsessing over scrolling Brewin's Instagram page, I recalled that none other than Rihanna recently wore an eerily similar outfit: the same exact hat and camo cargo pants, which last saw prominence in the Y2K era.
And while they say three makes a trend, I'm going to say "Rihanna and Emrata make a trend." Sure, the Emma Brewin hat has been on my radar, my wishlist, and my trend predictions bingo card for 2022 for awhile now. But camo pants? Definitely not the polarizing fashion staple I saw coming (or coming back).
