October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and restaurants around the suburbs are offering specialty drinks or menu items to help raise money to fund research, awareness, education and support for cancer patients. Here’s a sampling of what we found.

During October, the bagel cafe is offering a “pinktober” pink bagel, available plain for $1.75 or with cream cheese for $2.75, of which 10% will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Beatrix’s Pink Lemon Angel Food Cake Muffin ($3.75) is part of The Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation’s Chicago’s In Good Taste campaign during October, meaning that $1 from each muffin sold will be donated to the organization.
