A new Popeyes fast-food restaurant is proposed at 1142 E. Dundee Road in Palatine.
There are plans to build a second Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen fast-food restaurant in Palatine.
The restaurant would occupy a new 2,300-square-foot building with drive-through at 1142 E. Dundee Road. The site used to hold a Wendy’s fast-food restaurant.
The plan for Popeyes includes a petition for a special permit allowing 280 square feet of signage, more than the maximum of 202 square feet permitted by village code.
The petition was filed by Amin Dhanani of Zubha Pop Foods, LLC.
The village’s zoning board of appeals will hold a public hearing about the plan at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
