AdvertisementI've been waiting for Rosalía's third album since 2018, and today, it's finally here. Earlier this week, she taught Jimmy Fallon how to roll his Rs while promoting Motomami, but I could barely focus on the interview. Instead I kept staring at her outfit, which was almost head-to-toe Acne Studios pieces that came straight off the Fall 2022 runway and aren'teven available to shop yet.
Rosalía's full Acne Studios look consisted of a purple draped dress with a pair of knit, distressed over-the-knee boots that look like they could belong to Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas (in the best way). The only difference between Rosalía and the models on the runway was the layering of a sheer black turtleneck top from Sami Miro Vintage underneath. This complete mash-up of textures made the look so intriguing to me, and likely controversial to others.
Pieces from Acne's most recent collection have been spotted on everyone from Rihanna to Dua Lipa in the past couple of weeks, and it's poised to become one of the brands that defines the year in celebrity dressing. But I haven't seen anyone discuss the very best part of Rosalía's Acne boots, which is that she used them to store her phone in lieu of a purse.
