Rihanna has the ability to turn anything, and we mean anything, into an iconic maternity look. Since announcing her pregnancy, Rihanna has been wearing exposed bump 'fits that are our only source of serotonin in the middle of winter. Last night, she did it yet again and proved that leopard print coats are no longer just a winter staple — they're a maternity staple, too.
For a night out in New York, Rihanna wore a fuzzy leopard print coat (zipped only mid-way, of course), styled with layers of gold chains, a simple R13 baseball hat, and a pair of mink and leather Saint Laurent pumps. She's also working overtime to bring the controversial camo print back, although this time she opted for a camouflage bag instead of a pair of pants.
Rihanna's maternity looks don't just serve as further evidence that she's a fashion icon unlike any other, but also that maybe we're not thinking about our winter outfits in the right way. If Rihanna can wear a vintage pink Chanel puffer coat and a fuzzy leopard print coat, barely zipped or buttoned during the coldest months of the year, so can we. Maybe? She at least makes us want to try.
