The 2022 Winter Jam Tour Spectacular has canceled its upcoming stop at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.
The Christian music and devotional concert was scheduled for Friday, Jan. 21, and featured artists such as Skillet, Tauren Wells and Bayside Worship.
A publicist for the tour confirmed the cancellation was due to the Cook County Department of Health’s COVID-19 mitigation order, which went into effect this month amid the omicron variant surge. It mandates proof of COVID-19 vaccination and the wearing of masks for all patrons of indoor dining, entertainment and fitness facilities.
A similar COVID-19 mitigation policy for indoor entertainment venues has been in effect since September by the League of Chicago Theatres. The NOW Arena is not a member of this nonprofit.
Winter Jam Tour refunds are available at point of purchase.
